This Privacy Policy explains how Mathakadara ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your information when you use the Mathakadara mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

  • Name, used to identify you and your orders.
  • Mobile phone number, used for sign-in, verification and delivery contact.
  • Delivery address and city, used to deliver your orders.
  • Order details, such as items, quantities, order history and your chosen payment method (for example, cash on delivery).

Information collected automatically:

  • Push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging), used to send you order updates and notifications.
  • Advertising ID and device information, collected by Google AdMob to show ads, measure ad performance and prevent fraud.
  • Network connection status, used so the App can work offline and sync your orders when you are back online.

SMS verification codes: To make sign-in easier, the App may use Android's SMS Retriever / User Consent API to read only the one-time verification code we send you. The App does not read, store or upload any of your other SMS messages.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To process, deliver and support your orders.
  • To send you order status updates and service notifications.
  • To show advertisements within the App.
  • To improve the App and keep it secure.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores some data locally on your device, such as your sign-in session, cached product images and orders placed while offline. This allows the App to work without an internet connection. Removing the App deletes this local data.

The App displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising ID to show personalised ads. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your device settings under Settings → Google → Ads (Android) or Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking (iOS).

All communication between the App and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We keep your account and order information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide our services and meet legal and accounting requirements.

8. Your Rights and Account Deletion

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information and account at any time. To request account deletion, contact us at sales@mathakadara.com or call +94 70 458 0602 with the phone number linked to your account. We will delete your account and associated personal data within 30 days, except for records we are legally required to keep.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
